THE LETTER "UNSENT" !

It was 6 a.m. in the morning.The early sunshine promised of the day to be a bright one but for some reason Jay could attribute "a tinge of darkness and gloominess" to it.It was the last day of his college.He looked slightly more than what could be referred to as Being Restless.Maybe he was quite aware of the fact that Time was running out of his hands like sand and yet could do nothing except for just beholding the moments turning into memories.Maybe this one was about to cease.And somewhere down his SILENT mind ,Jay had accepted it too. 

Vidya was special to him.His love for her was more of a True and Selfless adoration.But he could never express his feelings to her.But now this story, comprising of a series of unforced and unplanned sequence of events, was reaching its culmination.And this idea of separation could not let Jay sleep the whole night.Sitting alongside his window that early morning,Jay was feeling bewildered to say the least. Just to end the echoing silence in his room inside,he played on to his favourite track "Phir Le Aaya Dil" in his not-so-smart cellphone.And, no wonder why he could find playing in his mind all those memories from the past till date in a fast-forward mode. His emotions were well in sync with the track.Suddenly, Jay went on to look for a piece of paper as if he made up his mind for something.He took out a paper from his personal diary and started writing.It was a letter addressing Vidya.A letter,which was perhaps now too late to be written to......

Dear Vidya,

You  might find yourself a bit bemused after reading this letter.It's next to impossible that I might get to see you ever in future again after this day. So before leaving ,I just wish to say this to you once and for all.We know each other for some years now and if not the closest of the friends,we certainly have been good ones .I have been honest with everyone I came across.Now that all's done coming to an end, I have something to admit . I have had a long thought over it and concluded that "I don't want to have regrets ".Vidya...Yes,I do love you ! I tried a lot finding anwers to "How" , Why and When .But each time my heart ciphered the brain. All I could deduce was"With every passing moment, I could find myself a whisker closer to you..Maybe it's too late for all this but belive me ,this confession doesn't seek any reply.It's just the one thing I wished to let you know at some point of time.maybe the shackles of doubts and uncertainties took too long to be broken.But Truth has set me free now.Thanks a lot for materializing to me this facet of Life to me.I am not sure how would you react to it but I can be rest assured of the fact that "You will always hold a special place in my Heart".....!!!

The clock was now showing 8:15.Having finished writing it ,Jay got ready to rush to his college.

The atmosphere was far from usual there. Students were busy bidding adieu to one another.But Jay's eyes were in search of Vidya.And soon he could see her coming from a distance.He headed towards her.

"Hey..Vidya,Wait !", Jay called on to her. 

Vidya turned back to greet Jay with a smile.

"So, it's curtains now,right ?" Jay asked.

"Yeah it's a touch sad that we all won't meet ever now but I am happy about the way it's ending for me"..Vidya told.

Jay did not pay heed to what was the "happy ending" Vidya was telling about. It was only the letter which was running through his mind.

"Vidya, I have to say something to you...." Jay was almost stammering while saying this.

"And what is that?" Vidya asked out of curiousity.

"It is........

Hardly had Jay finished saying these words and bringing out the letter,Vidya strolled beside him towards someone standing behind him.

To his utter disbelief, Jay saw Vidya being hugged by a guy.It was Vaibhav,one of the popular faces of the batch.Before Jay could react to it,Vidya went onto explain the whole situtation to him...

"It was quite tough but I had to express it today anyhow to him.And guess what,he accepted it. It does make this end a happy one for me".

Jay felt shocked and speechless for a moment and left his control over that letter which he was about to bring out. He gathered his composure to tell himself..."Perhaps this story was not meant to BEGIN.Let this one go into Silence forever" !

In a low voice,he whispered "Good-bye" to them and turned back to leave

Vidya suddenly recalled of something interrupted ..."Jay,You were about to say something?? "

Jay,with all calmness and brevity replied back, "Some Words Have Greater Impact When kept Unsaid".Just wanted to say "Stay Happy n All the Best, Bye" !!

THE LETTER... eventually did remain "UNSENT" !
